Court Annuls Suspension Of Andy Ubah, Chris Ubah & Three Other PDP Members

The Federal High Court in Abuja has vacated the suspension of the factional aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Senator Andy Ubah and four others by the Peoples’ Democratic Party.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed who set aside the suspension also gave an interim order restraining the Peoples’ Democratic Party from suspending Senator Ubah and four other factional members of the party.
It also suspended any decision taken by the disciplinary committee set up by the Peoples’ Democratic Party from taking any further decision that will affect the membership status of the Peoples’ Democratic Party pending the hearing of the suit filed by Mr. Chris Ubah, on the 5th of September 2013.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed also ordered the Peoples’ Democratic Party to appear before it on the 5th of September to show cause as to why the motion for expert e order filed by Mr. Chris Uba, Senator Andy Ubah, Benji Udeozor, Ejike Oguebego and Anthonia Nwankwo should not be granted by the court.

It would be recalled that the PDP had August 29, 2013, Thursday, suspended five factional members of the party for failing to appear before its disciplinary committee to explain why it organized a separate primary for the Anambra state governorship election.
