Ace TV News Anchor, Amanda Davis Passes On After Suffering Massive Stroke At The Airport

Condolences have flooded social media on the death of veteran Atlanta news anchor, Amanda Davis who passed on, on Wednesday after she suffered a “massive spontaneous stroke.”

Davis, 62 was waiting to board a flight at the Atlanta Airport when she had a medical emergency. She passed on around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The Emmy-award winning journalist joined CBS 46 as a morning anchor in January after spending 26 years at WAGA-TV. Davis retired from WAGA in 2012 following a DUI-related arrest.

In 2016, she opened up about her battle with alcoholism in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Davis was on her way to Texas for her step-father’s funeral when she suffered a stroke. She is survived by her daughter and mother.
