Rihanna,Kanye West And Trump Make TIME’s 25 Most Influential People On The Internet List

TIME magazine has announced its 25 most influential people on the internet, and celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Kanye West, Rihanna, Busy Philipps and Korean pop band BTS all made the list.

BTS, Kanye West and Rihanna are among the three biggest music names on the magazine’s online radar due to their cultural impact and entrepreneurial spirit and huge following on social media sites.

In March 2018, Rihanna posted an Instagram story denouncing an ad that appeared on Snapchat that used her image to make light of domestic violence, of which she is a survivor. Soon after, Snap Inc. lost $800 million in value.

West, on the other hand, has a different relationship with social media, with his Twitter musings ranging from introspective mantras of the day — “style is genderless” and “only free thinkers” — to pictures of a Donald Trump-signed “Make America Great Again” hat (another figure who made the magazine’s list and shares West’s “dragon energy”).

As Twitter users began denouncing West, fans stuck around for his productions coming in hot on a weekly basis and lifting ye to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated June 12.

TIME also featured people such as Shaun King who constantly fights for marginalised societies, Donald Trump, Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg.
